A journey from Turin to the Dominican Republic to discover sustainable coffee.
The project
A journey from Turin to the Dominican Republic to experience how it is possible to grow, harvest and roast coffee in a way that is respectful towards both the environment and the people.

An expedition to discover sustainable coffee, Lavazza’s commitment towards the land and the farmers and its support towards local organisations that are involved with the manufacturing process.

Four young people and 12,000 hectares of nature
Coffee Study Program has involved four young students from different countries with the same vision of a sustainable future. They were selected in collaboration with the SDSN Youth Association. They are all studying different degree programmes but share the same objective: looking after our planet.

A family tradition
Lavazza’s efforts in relation to human capital and cultural and environmental heritage began in 1935 with its founder, Luigi; a value which has been passed on from father to son. The Giuseppe e Pericle Lavazza Onlus Foundation was born in 2004 and it promotes and implements projects that produce coffee all over the world.
